Benefits and drawbacks of vacations with children and camper van

We went on vacations three times with children in our camper van. The United States is our favorite go-to holiday place when it comes to vacation planning. We already explored the west, mid-US, and Florida on our camper van during summer vacations. Our sons Lotte and Floris are very fond of a camper van. Even Floris gave us the idea of turning our camper into a home so we can travel whenever we want and surprisingly I loved his idea of transforming a vehicle into a home.

But I don’t think it’s a good option for now, but after retirement maybe.

When we travel with our sons this van provides us with so many benefits, but on the other side, we face some difficulties too.

I’ve listed down a few benefits that can help you accordingly.

Freedom from burden:One benefit of traveling with a camper vehicle is you can easily go whenever you want to go somewhere without worrying about carrying your luggage it makes this so much easier for parents traveling with children.

In the midst of wild:If you want to enjoy your journey with views and nature’s beauty then a camper vehicle is the best option. You can stay in the jungle whenever you want to. making barbecue, enjoying beer under the starry night or moonlight.

Snacking on the go:You can easily carry your favorite snacks with you it costs you less as compared to buying snacks from outside. You can keep your cold drinks and favorite ice creams in the van’s mini fridge.

Quiet time:After putting kids to sleep you can easily go out and sit back to enjoy your own time

Fun on wheels:Kids hate long travels but in a camper they enjoy a lot they sit wherever they want eat their favorite snacks enjoy using their iPads.

Hassle free travel:When we stay in a hotel we stress a lot about packing and unpacking our stuff whenever we check in or check out. But in a camper vehicle, we feel stress-free about our luggage.

Quick pit stops:In a camper vehicle children can pee and poop whenever they want as they face this issue so much at this young age.

Some drawbacks of camper vans are listed below.

Parking issues:I feel traveling in a camper vehicle is very easy but sometimes we face the difficulty of finding parking lots, as it’s very hard to find parking in a few cities like Florida.

Limited budget:In a camper van huge gas cylinders are fitted in so it costs a little expensive in a few states at the time of refilling.

Seasons to consider: Try not to plan holidays in winter with kids and a camper van due to severe cold waves chances of frosting may increase and it becomes very difficult to protect the van from frosting.
